Our School

Introduction

Wylye Valley School is a mixed primary school for children aged four to eleven years. It is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School and was established in April 2005, following a decision between Codford Primary School and Steeple Langford First School to federate.

The school has sites in the centre of both Codford and Steeple Langford villages. There are Key Stage One and year 3 children at both sites to minimise the travelling of the younger children.

All Key stage two year 4, 5 and 6 children are taught at the Codford site. This has benefits for preparing the older children for transition to secondary school.

Vision Statement

A forward thinking C of E School with high expectations for the academic, personal, spiritual and social development of every child. The Governors and Staff shall work together to achieve these within a caring and supportive Christian environment.
