Clubs

Extra Curricular Activities

We offer a wide range of activities and clubs during and after school. Clubs are run by staff, parents and specialist coaches. We see these extra curricular activities as enriching the work we do in school as well as improving children's personal skills and their enjoyment.

Some of the activities on offer have been netball, French, rugby, multisports, football, dance, computer club, gardneing, lego-technic and board games. The majority of these are free.

Wylye Coyotes is our Afterschool Club, open every school day from 3 - 6pm and in most school holidays from 9am - 6pm at the Codford site.We charge £3 per hour for the first child, and £2 per hour for any additional children from the same family. Children from Steeple Langford come to the club on the school bus, at no additional charge.  An OFSTED inspection in August 2007 rated our provision as "Good". Children can undertake a wide range of art and craft activities, or sit quietly with a book.  We encourage free play outside as much as possible.  We offer a healthy menu, which includes a hot meal every evening.  The children do cookery once a week, and have tried their hands at everything from sushi to ice cream!  We also arrange frequent special activities, which recently have included visits by exotic animals and the creation of a 3D wall scene with a professional artist as part of West Wilts District Council's PAWS project.
